There are loads of nice bars and restaurants, particularly down at the redeveloped waterfront area and generally it’s a most vibrant and friendly city.

Sport is huge too, with Liverpool and Everton being located very close to each other across Stanley Park on the outskirts of the city centre. Liverpool, having endured a fairly rough passage over post war years has pushed itself firmly to the forefront of popularity again in recent years and was rewarded as being granted status as European Capital of Culture in 2008.
